February a month filled with love!

When I look at the last post I made all those months ago and how much our boys have grown, I realize how little details of their day to day lives I remember. I need to take more pictures of my sweet boys and write down all the silly, kind, intelligent and just plain amazing sayings and stories of Owen Brett Anderson and Chad John Anderson. So in order to get this going here's my handsome little men as of lately. They are just so cute I could eat them up! Our family Christmas card picture - without all the crazy pixelation the zazzle people added.

Owen's first day of school. My boys was soooo excited to spend time at Ms Sandra's preschool. I cried and so did Chaddy soon after this picture was taken. We both made it through the 3 hours ok & picked up our Baba with open arms and lots of kisses!

Let's play catch-up

SO in the past 6 months our boys have grown up so much. Owen tells me everyday he wants to be a " big boy" to which I reply "ummm no thanks just stay little a while longer please." He has grown over 2 inches in the past year and continues to amaze his pediatrician with his height and size, ability to carry a conversation and retain information. He is an amazing little guy and my best helper. He has the sweetest laugh and takes such good care of his brother. Brett and I talk about how fast his three years have gone by and how we want to be able to remember every day.Owen is our sunshine :) His birthday party was planned to be at a park but the weather was a bit unfavorable so we moved it to the good ol stand by church gym. Grandma Shelley made the awesome quarterback and cheerleader cutouts and the pictures I have are hysterical. We will be using the cutouts again :) Owen's chose his cake, a costco special and boy oh boy deli sh, highly recommend the chocolate on chocolate creme. Gotta love a chocolate cake right? Aunt Julie got him he coolest cape ever, its reversible, superman on one side and batman on the other. After presents we started to wrap up the party and our little Chaddy took quite a tumble and we spent the rest of our day at the hospital. He was a trooper and stole every heart in the ER.

I do like blogging really I do:)

Holiday Happenings

Christmas was as wonderful as ever. I really do love explaining to my Owen all the fun things that happen in December. His littel face is so full of expression and I love watching him think thimgs out and ask me questions. Growing up we had St Nicholas come to our house in early decemeber and then the Christmas goose would come on New years eve. Owen interest was mainly in Santa, whom he is still deathly afraid off. But I think we are making some progress on next years attempt to have both the boys sit on Santa's lap. At Church. both the sunday before and after Christmas, a sweet older man with a long white beard and hair, a red neck tie and a black leather blazer sat behind us. Owen's face was priceless. He asked over and over why Santa came to church and we told him , well Santa wants you to be good boy all the time even at church. And believe me he was, Owen was in awe that Santa would even come to church after Christmas to make sure all the good little kids went. It will be a memory not to forget. Chad was just as good as ever. Mr go- along for the show and hardly make a sound. He is an angel and such a good sleeper, I think it was an early Christmas present to me to have such a good sleeper at such a young age. 4to 5 hours a night and I am good to go. I have so many pictures to post --just a fore -warning so I may make a little movie if I feel up to the task

Chadddders

HAPPPPPY NEW YEAR! Little baby Chad was blessed today. Brett did a wonderful job and we are so fortunate to have so many family members with us. I think it was the best way to end a lovely Holiday season. Owen was excited to have another party with his cousins and I couldn't think of a nicer occasion to get to together both Brett's and my families. Chad has been my angel baby since birth. Hardly crying and making me laugh daily with all his sweet smiles cooes and even a few little giggles! I am so blessed to have these two little boys in my life. Chad wore the same little outfit my mom got for Owen and looked very handsome. Nothing like a new little spirit in your life to make priorities very clear.

Time is flying

Our newest addition at 5 minutes into his earthly existence (above) and 5 weeks old (below)He was born with a lot of baby acne, more than I had ever seen. I was so worried it would take its time clearing up but just look at that face. So calm and just heavenly!

I need to photo shop the tag out of the picture, its driving me crazy!

I had to add my Owen to this post. He has grown up so quickly since his baby brother arrived. I took this picture 5 days before Chad was born. We were at a Halloween carnival and I remember walking with him thinking soon I'll have 2. Owen still has the most delicious chubby cheeks and he Q-tip hair makes my day. This picture will be up in our home very soon, I don't want to forget that day or his face ( with the spider man on his cheek)!

Your sweetness is my weakness......

Owen really is one sweet little guy even if his choice of Halloween costume doesn't say so. He chose it and played the part like a champ. He even got his daddy to dress up just like him:) Chad chose to sleep

Chad John Anderson

I am so happy to be home with all three of my boys. Chad John Anderson was born on 10/14/10 at 8lbs 14oz and 20 1/2 in. long, around 2:06 pm. Chad is a little angel and Owen is the sweetest big brother to his little buddy. Brett and I are so blessed with these two little spirits and I am excited to see them grow up together. Chad is a very calm baby, not a whole lot of crying and really loves to be snuggled up to you. His delivery was relatively quick only a few hours in comparison to Owen's, about 20hours+. I am feeling great no complaints. Owen is so attentive to his little brother and has been so gentle and cautious around him. I was a bit worried considering Owen has an arm like a 8 yr old and can kick a football farther than any other kid is age. I am so grateful Brett was able to take some time off work and help me at home. Sleep deprivation with a 2year old is not an option. Thank you to all for the well wishes and gifts and the abundance of food. Brett and Owen are loving all the variety and I am so grateful to not have to be creative in the kitchen.

Today Brett and I attended a funeral of a close friend of ours. She was young and vibrant and was nothing less than a ray of pure sunshine. She befriended me when I was a new mom not knowing what exactly to do when Owen would cry or fuss in Relief Society and helped me through some rough times. My heart still aches when I think of how recently I had spoken to her and how our plans for future adventure together will never happen. Life is so fragile and I will miss her terribly.Prayer and remembering good times have helped so much and I will continue to pray for her sweet husband and family as I can not even imagine their heart ache and sorrow. I was looking through conference talks and mormon ads and found this on mormon.org i love the simple way it explains trials and finding comfort through our Savior and the plan of happiness. I know I will see Marina again, though it may be longer than I would like. I know our Father needed her and that she is at peace. I am so grateful for this knowledge, the gospel truly lifts you and brings such clarity to what it important during our mortal existence

Know that while God takes no pleasure in your suffering, your difficulties, regardless of their cause, can bring you closer to Him and even make you stronger if you endure faithfully (2 Nephi 2:2, Revelation 3:19).

It’s comforting to know that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, suffered all things. He understands your pain and can help you through your trials. When you have faith in God and His plan, you can be assured that there’s a purpose to all that happens to you here on earth. Our time here is short compared to our eternal life. As the Lord told Joseph Smith during a period of intense suffering:

“Know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good. The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?” (Doctrine and Covenants 122:7-8).

If we endure faithfully He will reward us beyond our ability to comprehend in the life to come (1 Corinthians 2:9). Amazingly, with God’s help you can experience joy even in times of trial, and face life’s challenges with a spirit of peace

Little helper

Hey mama do I have my goggles on right?
How bout now? I still can't see quite right!
Now I'm ready! Watch out I've got my power drill!

Owen will put these glasses on and drill for hours on just about anything and everything. Lately anything that is out for the baby has had multiple drilling sessions. He told me " I just fixin it for baby brudder, he be safe mama." Such a dumpling!

We are in the last few days of being a family of three. I am excited and nervous at the same time to have a newborn and my 2 1/2 yr old. Owen is super excited, as is Brett. Baby#2 (still nameless) has the same profile, forehead and lips as Owen. Which means he'll probably look just like his daddy,so cute and probably just as Blondie as Owen. The crib, onesies, diapers and his moses basket are all set up and ready to go and on Wednesday Dr. Kelley said we need to make some decisions about when he is coming. I was induced with Owen 2 weeks early because of his size and my blood pressure spiking and dropping. This time around I feel so much better and beside the normal swelling and fatigue not a whole lot to complain about. If I can plan it how's 10-10-10 for a birthday--kinda cool uh? Three boys soon:) what a life!

My two boys taking a nap together. Its usually a good three hours before they even stir to wake up. Aren't they so sweet?

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
