One or Two?

Last friday the 27th I went to my doctor for my second visit. Brett got off work to come with me and had a great surprise for the both of us, a new camera! Not just any camera a dual lens kodak v610 with a porting dock, tripod and a large memory card. The photo supply shop that Brett orders his stores photography supplies is run by a really nice man, who on friday afternoon handed him a bag with all the above mentioned goodies. So when we met up at my appointment brett was ready to take some pictures of our first ultrasound. My PA had a hard time finding the little one at first but after a few minutes she says, well I'm not going to tell you its one baby and you find out at your next sonogram its two and vice versa, so I'm going to send you to the high resolution ultrasound office and they can tell you there if its one or two babies but right now I'm not sure. WHOAAAA I was a bit taken back with that- two babies holy cow. Don't get too excited I still don't know for sure and she also said I was barely 7 weeks along--yipee at least 5 more weeks of the yuck and a due date later in march. That's all right. I keep thinking about pioneers and how in the world did they cross the plains when they were pregnant, I can deal with this,no worries. Thanks to all for the suggestions on calming my tummy down, I tried ginger ale and popcicles--great combo! Love ya all! With our a new camera we will defintely have more pictures to post

Any suggestions?

So I am sick, the great joy of morning sickness or all day sickness has started. I am trying to eat every two hours to stay ahead of the nausea and at times the food combinations work and i'm ok. But at least threee times a day I lose my cookies and the thought of food makes the whole situation worse. Katie told me she lived on peaches and preztel sticks and mom liked raspberries for four months. I was a big fan of cinnamon toast until about two days ago when that was axed. Aw well at least I have a bunch of sisters that have suggestions right? Unless you are one of the lucky ones that doesn't get sick (Cari) Lucky Duck. Any help would be appreciated

March 08'

Brett and I went to the doctors office to day for my first visit. I was so nervous about going I had crazy dreams last night--apparently I started talking a bunch in my sleep and got really paranoid that someone was climbing in our windows! Poor Brett, he didn't know his wife would talk in her sleep so much--at least this time it was in english. Back to the appointment, we didn't have to wait long, just lots of paper work and a little blood. Our due date is March 8,2008 and I got back for another more extensive visit in two weeks. So exciting and a little scary at the same time.

July 11, 2007
I finally did it. I am blogging! A big thank you to Mary Kaye for being the front runner in starting up the blog. I know the whole family enjoys seeing the Hopkin family blog change with updates pictures and videos! Both Brett and I are doing really well. We are excited to have a little addition to the family. Grand baby number #16 ( I think) Hopefully I will have a due date by the end of the week. I am feeling good, just really tired. I am especially tired today from our adventure last night. Brett's mom is a huge Harry Potter fan and bought the entire family tickets for the 12:10am showing. Shelley had even gone so far as to set out all the Harry Potter costumes for us to choose from ( she manages Star Costume--we are talking the real deal costumes, wands, robes and even an ugly sweater) Alas we didn't wear the costumes but that didn't take away from the Harry Potter experience. The Order of the Phoenix is by my favorite of the series and I wasn't quite sure how an eight hundred page novel would be crammed into a 2 and a half hour movie. Much to my surprise the movie did a phenomenal job covering the major parts of the book, yes parts and details were left out and the movie took a bit wider loop on the plot than originally written but end the end I would give it a solid 4 stars. I highly recommend it to all and just as a side note don't re-read or begin to read the book before you see the flick, let them do their job and entertain you for a few hours. ta ta for now

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
