Our little Owen is two months old! He had his is check up last Monday and we got all his stats as a two month old. Our pediatrician has us in the same exam room each time with these crazy wall paintings of jungle animals, Brett and I laugh at the un-proportioned elephant, lion, monkey, panda bear and giraffe,so we had to take a picture to share. He is weighing in at 15lbs 10 oz, yes you read that right our little man knows how to eat and he has all the rolls on his thighs to prove it. He is 24 inches long and his head width and height are in the 95-97th percentile. His weight is off the charts, we are so proud of our little bowling ball! After all that fun of weighing him in and measuring him he got his shots. 5 of them in his delicious little thighs and the nurse misplaced one of his band-aids so he bleed all over his blankie. He also ran a fever for three days and was not himself, lethargic, fussy, and I think I heard a few whimpers . I was a mess, I cried and Brett kept telling me everything would be okay and that all the shots were necessary. I have a wonderful husband, he is a true hands on daddy and Owen and I love him to death. The pictures of Owen with his 2 month sign reminded us of a car sales man, he has a golden smile. I got him a little swim suit so he can go swimming with his pumpa, Dad says he heats the pool up just for him. I think we will make a visit on monday night for FHE and take some more pictures!

I love my mom, she is my hero and example. I am in awe at all she has sacrificed for me and all she continually does for those privileged to be around her.My little boy loves her and I am grateful for all she has taught me by being my mom and an awesome grandma! She is a woman of integrity, class, love, honesty, beauty, diligence and humor. I love you Mama, you are the best!

Our little man is one month old! He has grown so much and his little personality comes out more and more every day. The sleeping pattern was great, he knew when it was day and definitely slept deeper in the night, until he had his snip snip procedure and all the Lidocaine (Yes,Lidocaine, she used about 4cc, our Dr. kept saying its the same stuff used at the dentist, I laughed and then thought holy cow he isn't going to feel a thing) running through is tiny body and the trauma of getting shots down there, well he was worn out and slept the ENTIRE day. So since then we have been having parties about 12:30 to 3 or 4.
His blonde hair is still blonde and his eyes have stayed the dark slate blue. He is gaining weight and finally filling out those long chicken legs. At the last doctors' visit he was 11 lbs 4oz and 22 inches. He is still sweet as ever, and full of smiles and little squawks and squeaks with not a whole lot of crying. I am hoping to have his room done by the end of this week, we just moved and everything is still getting unpacked. I am excited for him to see his little jungle mobile, he already gets a kick out of the swirling birdies on his swing. We also finally chose a stroller so Owen and I can get back into shape. He really liked our first walk together but since that first night the wind gusts have been outrageous and he gets so stuffed up with all the dirt and pollen, he was not a happy camper the last few tries.

I read this and to tell you the truth I am still in shock but Gladys is a great missionary who would have guessed?

Owen is a full week old! I can honestly say the past week has been one big blurr, not individual days. He is such a good boy, and I have loved every minute of the past week with this sweet spirit. Owen sleeps really well --about 3 1/2 hour spurts and he eats like a champ. He is going to his pediatrician tomorrow morning for his first check up and the snip snip procedure. His eyes are so beautiful and I don't think any of these pictures show how cute my little boy is --he is just delicious!
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
