Easter Weekend

Owen's first Easter was great. After church we went over to grandma Anderson's where she took about a hundred pics of him with his Easter basket(full of my favorite candy) and just hung out for a little while. Then we went to Julie's and Owen finally got to meet Uncle Tom and Tiny. After a delicious dinner Grandma Coons took Owen on a little Easter egg hunt in the back yard. Then we played a little whiffle ball where tiny hit a winning Grand Slam to defeat Mitch and I.
p.s. Brett said we needed to post a family picture, I protested greatly but gave in at the end, I feel better every day even though I still look pretty bad. If my husband wants to blog I will be happy and let him

One week old

Owen is a full week old! I can honestly say the past week has been one big blurr, not individual days. He is such a good boy, and I have loved every minute of the past week with this sweet spirit. Owen sleeps really well --about 3 1/2 hour spurts and he eats like a champ. He is going to his pediatrician tomorrow morning for his first check up and the snip snip procedure. His eyes are so beautiful and I don't think any of these pictures show how cute my little boy is --he is just delicious!

Baby Owen

After a long wait we are finally home with our new little boy. His name is Owen Brett Anderson. He's just so cute we can't help but argue over who gets to hold him(okay, not argue but make sad faces at each other). He was born at 8:43am on March 10, weighing in at 8lbs4oz. and 20 and 3/4 inches long(he will probably shrink a little as his cone head goes down). He has blond hair and dark blue eyes, and the cutest little hands and feet you ever did see. He is the sweetest little guy, besides his little squeaks between being passed around and his little fits when his diaper gets changed, he really doesn't cry at all. Once he came out we both cried uncontrollably, easily said the happiest moment in our lives. Thank you to all those who came and visit us and brought gifts and flowers, it was very appreciated. Now its time for a nap!

Tomorrow Tomorrow I love ya tomorrow your only a day away!!!!!!!!

NOT QUITE SURE WHY SANDIE GOT CUT OFF, BACK TO THE SONG NOW------WHEN I'M STUCK WITH A DAY THATS GRAY AND LONELY I JUST STICK OUT MY CHIN AND GRIN AND SAY TOMMMMORRRROW!!!!!

I have been singing this song in my head and occasionally out loud or humming it to my self for the past few days.I would like to give a shout out to Mariah, meg and Kelly,(nick, jake and bill you guys too beacuse I know you probably know the words too!)Those little girls can sing and I know they know this song really well, I grew up watching this movie and my mom and sisters would play the sheet music on the piano OHH the memories--but the reason for TOMMORROW is------ Little baby anderson has date of expected arrival that is set, we are going in on sunday afternoon, tomorrow, soooo hopefully sometime that night or monday morning he'll have arrived! I saw my regular doctor( Dr. Sherrod) on friday and my blood pressure was up again--I had been doing so well for about three weeks but with the swelling not a good combo, he explained my options and left the final decision up to me. With a baby that's already in the eight pound range and possibly more and a big head, the blood pressure and swelling just topped it off for me. I am excited and scared and anixous, overwhelmed at times and still in shock that a little one will soon be here for Brett and I to take care of and love. Brett is going to be such a good daddy , he talks to the baby everyday and most of the time he likes to talk real close to my tummy so I can't hear what's being said and when I ask he says its just father son talk or its just between me and my little boy. Our little family good some other great news this week, Brett passed the first section of the fire academy entrance exam and was invited for the next section! He took the test over a month ago along with 2500 others--yes 2500 people and they only took the top 400. He'll have his CPAT test (the physical section) next and then they will cut the group again. He is being pretty modest about the whole thing because of how competitive the Fire Department is but I am sure proud of him and I know he and our family are being watched over and blessed. Much love to all --the next post should be a really good one--baby pictures !!!!! YIPEEEEE

What the !!!!

Today Brett closes at work, which means he goes in later and can go with me to the doctor. I had to work for a few hours in the morning and then I had CPR training. So when I left this morning in my car I didn't even think to look at Jeep, although I had the thought to go and just take a peek at it but didn't because umm I'm just lazy and was running late. After a continually eventful day at DII --chaos in all sense of the word, seeing the last patient at SVFD --sad I was a bit emotional, I drove home to get Brett for the doctor's appointment. Everything is groovey with our little boy, long fingers, long toes, long legs, big head and likes to sleep. The nurse buzzed him to get him to move for measurements and our little guy woke up for ten seconds and went right back to sleep. The nurse was amazed, Brett laughed as did I because that is sooooo Brett. He can sleep through just about anything, like father like son---no complaints a sleeping baby is just fine with me. We went to lunch with Bostyn and Cari, Brett was missing Bosty and she was happy to see her BETTTT. Brett and I dropped by Mom and dad's to pick up a few things and see Dad in his semi-retired state. I love that my dad and Brett will sit an talk and they laugh like friends. It makes my heart happy. When we got home, Brett had to go straight to work and I layed down for a napppy nap---my feet have started to swell, its not pretty. Brett came right back in with sad news--his drivers' side back window was smashed in ! AHHHHHH what a bummer, we called USAA and got some claim information and the non emergency line with the police. We live across the street from a high school and there is a bus stop right outside the gates for a middle school. We are thinking one of those two groups had something to do with it. Its just a frustrating situation. Things always happen in threes and I was already having a really emotional day, and we had our three. Why are people so mean?

A Shower to remeber!

The adorable little take home gifts and a organizing all the presents!
A huge THANK YOU to all who came to my baby shower yesterday and an even bigger THANK YOU to those who helped organize plan and carry out the eventful day. Everyone out did themselves and I am overwhelmed with the generosity. I was so happy to have so many of my sisters( Jillian and Angie too) there and am thankful to them for all of their effort and work. It was a beautiful day and I was so happy to spend it with so many loved ones. Brett and I just sat and starred in awe at all the presents sitting in our front room. I am so happy to know that this little boy is so loved already and he hasn't even made his first appearance. I went to my normal doctor on Friday to go over the specialist's results from Tuesday, and things are right where they should be, after a pretty substantial weight gain two weeks ago the little guy is back in the normal range for his development---although his head is large(Brett thinks its hereditary) our little guy has long legs and arms, now he can gain all the chubby baby weight--bring on the thigh rolls! No definite dates just wait and see when he comes--i am hoping sooner than later but now that he has dropped I am finally able to breathe better and the heartburn/acid reflux has calmed down. I had my camera and didn't snap one picture--am I a real coons or what? But no worries I know the day was document by other and their blogs should be fun to look at. Or stop by the Julie Jane paper co, I am sure we will all have a cameo appearance pretty soon in some layouts. Thanks again!
p.s. just wanted to give a special shout out to Kelly and Tracy for traveling so far to be there, thank you thank you both!
p.p.s and another shout of love to Katie and MK we missed you but we'll see you soon take good care of yourselves and VIVA LAS Vegas

February is a good month for me!

Happy Valentines day to all! I love ju-ju hearts and some good cream cheese sugar cookies and this is the time of year to enjoy them! I think I kept the candy counter at the BYU bookstore going single handedly with my love for ju ju hearts and another heavenly treat chocolate covered cinnamon bears! A really big thank you too all for remebering my birthday and for spoiling me, I have wonderful friends and family that are the best at making a person feel real special. I am the big ol' 28. Brett brought me home the nicest gift ever, a little blue bag and box with this gorgeous chain link heart closure bracelet--he is the best, so thoughtful and generous and he was so excited to give it to me. I cried, it really is a bute!

I had a doctors appointment yesterday and baby anderson is right where he should be and getting bigger by the day. I have another ultra sound on tuesday and that should give us a more definite date on meeting our little guy. I am sooo excited, maybe our family will have one more february birthday to add to the exisiting 6. YIPEEEEEE

B.O.B big ol' baby

Hello all! Thanks so much for all the love and concern over the past 2 weeks, I am feeling much better! Brett and I went to see Dr. Iriye on Tuesday for a double check up on the baby's size and my blood pressure. Everything is just fine with me, apparently my regular doctor's nurse isn't taking my blood pressure properly(sitting down, arm at heart level, large cuff and with an electronic pressure cuff)So when the nurse at Dr. Iriye's took it I was back down to a normal 121/86 YIpEeE! Our little guy is doing really well, he is growing like a weed. From all his measurements he is weighing in at 5 lbs 11 oz already. Yes you heard right, he is about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks ahead of the normal timetable. His due date is still not until the 15 of march but I have a feeling we are going to have this little guy a lot sooner than that. We are at 34 and 2 days and statistically he can gain 10oz to a full 1lb every week in the last few weeks. I'm not a small person but a 10lb-11lb first baby whoa. We have another appointment on the 14th with Dr. Sherrod and then one more with Dr. Iriye on the 19th for some final measurements. The little guy is right where he needs to be and so the ultrasound pictures aren't so great. He is looking right at us but didn't want to move at all to get some better pictures--little stinker!

President Gordan B. Hinckely

President Hinckely passed away last night. Brett's mom called to tell us, I cried alot, death is really hard for me. I know he is with his beloved wife and out of any discomfort or pain. His 97 years of amazing work and dedication to the Lord and the growth and development of the Church is truly miraculous. He was my prophet during so many important times and decisions in my life and I will be forever grateful for his example of Christ like love, extending kindness to all and courage to do and say what is right in all situations. He will be missed

Bronchitis, yep thats what going on in my lungs, nice visual uh?

I am sick. Not just a cold or even the flu but big ol Bronchitis! This is honestly the worst I have ever felt in my life, I was so worried about the baby and what I should and shouldn't be taking when I first starting to feel yucky. My doctors nurse told me that the doctor is always hesitant to prescribe antibiotics which coming from a family where penicillin was always around and given when we first started feeling anything I had to rethink my whole medicine route. SO on Friday when I got really scared because my breathing was really shallow and my throat felt like it was closing in, I called my doctor again and he was out delivering a baby and Margret, his nurse wanted me to go to Quick Care for a throat culture---she thought I had strep throat. I think the word "Quick" should be taken out completely of that title--Brett and I were there for 3 hours, during triage my nurse took my symptoms and sent me back out to the germ pool waiting room where a lady with a bloody nose that had stopped and teenager with a headache got taken back to see the doctor before I did--Quick Care has signs all over that say the more severe your symptoms and not your sign in order are how patients are seen. I was running a fever, coughing hard and not to mention 33 weeks pregnant and the headache kid who sat and text on his phone the whole time got taken back way before me ---not so nice. After seeing the doctor who asked when my last cycle was --hellloooo pregnant! I finally got the Bronchitis answer and perscription for TADAAAAAA-----antibiotics and a nasal spray--I think its a steroid to help me breathe easier. I hope the medicine will help and I'll be back to pregnant jamie and not sicky pregnant jamie. I'll keep you posted

Cheers to Chirstmas!

We had a great Christmas this year! Family, food, chilly weather, one another and a the excitement of our little baby being at all the festivities next year! Brett and I went to his parents home for Christmas eve, they have a tradition of having king crab legs, shrimp, and homemade french fries. They were so nice to make me some salmon(my doctor said no to any shell fish--bummer). We had a great time, we played a few games before calling it a night and heading home to our little apartment, where Brett sang a bunch of Christmas carols and danced around for me! It was a night to remember--we all know what a great dancer my husband is , he is pretty much the best dancer I know. Our plan for the next day started a bit earlier than we had both thought but when his sister called at 6:45 am Brett got right up and told me we needed to open presents. HOLY COW I hadn't woken up that early for Christmas morning in years. We stopped at his parents opened some presents, had a few laughs and then headed home to get ready for my parents brunch. Amelia, Charlotte and Bostyn were already at my parents when we got there, and it was wonderful to see these sweet little girls all excited for presents; telling anyone who would listen about their exciting morning. Mom had out done herself with breakfast and Dad (aka Santa) had a great toyshop for all the little ones (including our little boy), where the kids could come and pick their present instead of being given a present at random. Brett and I want to thank both our families for all their love and generosity. Thank you Trythalls for all the wonderful presents, We love them all. All in all it was a wonderful first Christmas as a married couple. We hope everyone's Christmas was as fabulous as ours, and that you get to party your socks off for new years!

Magical Forest

src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX6u0gttam4u0q8TYeMedXUT_Ru2d75fM0OKhxStZSCi0WK_Afas3-BhOrMrcoebkEOF1wqkBSgnxbtod8Ks0AwfW88gxxaeAAzxSo7oafD5MoOLlzXPOvNh9PPbYKhZaO4i64oTVIHah3/s200/dad's+cannon+275.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5144273526607062034" />

ALLLLL ABOARD the Choo choo! This past Thursday night, Cari, Bostyn, Dad, Brett and I all went to the Magical Forest for a little holiday cheer! We all had a great time and reminisced about how much the magical forest has changed over the years. Brett volunteered there for years through his ward as did Cari and I got to volunteer through honor society in high school. We laughed about the old costumes (snow princesses, polar bears, penguins), the dirt trail with hay and the all the Christmas chaos. Things have changed a lot but only for the better, the workers at opportunity village have out done themselves. The entire evenings was fabulous, magical even, full of great memories. Dad getting some of those yummy candied almonds and sharing, his generosity, the look on Bosty face when the choo choo came around the corner and she got to ride it with her pumpa, the carousel, funnel cakes and hot dogs( I know a strange combo but they sure did taste good),all the lights, companies that went all out for their trees(CAT supplier, Southwest gas, Harley Davidson) and those companies that at least tried. OH side note about the Harley Davidson tree, much to my surprise I found out a while back that dad wants a Harley, not just recently but for years he has wanted one and now that his retirement is around the corner he has even gone to the Harley Store to scout out the model and color. An all black fat boy with the extra back seat(for mom. So when we passed this tree he asked for a few picture to show mom what he would like, it was sweet and as his children can validate, to find something Dad wants but doesn't already own you make a mental note. You are all invited to next years' visit and if you see Bostyn ask her about her visit to Santa, she'll show you the picture and tell you all about it!
ps While in line for the train a second time, Bosty made friends with a little girl that has down syndrome, I almost burst into tears it was so sweet, they gave each other loves and the little girl's dad video taped the entire thing. Bosty was so sweet to her and the little girl just giggled each time a little love was exchanged. It was a true Christmas spirit moment

Gym Adventures

Hello all! While at the gym last night, enjoying the mix of biggest loser and housewives of orange county on my personal TV, I was reminded of my pre-pregnancy days and I got a little sad. The man next to me was easily in his early seventies and running at a about a 9minute mile, not a fast pace but pushing it just a bit. I got a bit of my competitive juices flowing and thought I can do that and then proceeded to pump my arms and legs on the elliptical as fast as I could. What was a thinking, I just about fell off the machine, not to mention make my face as red as a beet! Plain stupidity I think came over me. I do miss running but I can wait. So I think I will just try to pay more attention to the TV shows and not the fellow exercisers around me at the gym today, and I am going to try walking at a brisk pace (that word "Brisk" always makes me laugh) Here's a little gem of a picture to inspire us all "to take a turn" thank you Jane Austen for those words

Thanksgiving Review

Happy post post post turkey day! Today my dad was walking up to his office and as he passed by me he said " well I guess thanksgiving is really over now" is his classic Eeyore woe is me sounding voice, he made me laugh and get a little sad at the same time. Our thanksgiving was wonderful, great food, family from all over had come to visit, good movies, and great shopping. And my favorite moment was when dad tried to run from the living room, through the kitchen, past the pantry and through the back hallway to the dining room for the annual Coons' family pre-dinner picture. It was so funny and dad was really hauling. I am sad to say I didn't video tape Meg's "sippa booty" aka sleeping beauty or Mariah's "Feed the birds" but I do have some pictures I will get posted really soon ta ta for now

Laser tag, alphabet tag, herbie tag,etc etc etc

I know I am behind on blogging but I really haven't had anything extremely fun or even too uplifting to blog about. Don't get me wrong life is grand I just get into routine and don't think anyone wants to hear about refrigerators going out right after you went to Costco, or funerals. So I'll get to my tagging

What I was doing ten years ago:Junior At Bonanza high school, driving the dope green rodeo, playing league soccer with Celtics United Red and had just finished varsity quiz, the best club I ever joined in high school, and I lettered in it

What I was doing five years ago:Serving a mission in Argentina,my 7th area-Brandsen the only area I had for longer than 6 weeks,i ended up with thirteen areas, practically the entire mission.I was with my favorite comp, Hermana Zeballos (onions is her last name) We lived in a little home and had about 11 cats in our courtyard, it was a crazy time but i loved it

One year ago: Spending a ton of time with my Brett, he was practically my first counselor in the primary.

Yesterday
:Worked at good ol SVFD,and the JJ paper co. Talked to Katie on the phone and watched Julie sing dance and vacuum her store. It was great, sometimes she'll bust out old Merluzzi ballet routines. I can't remember routines but the tap warm up and the shuffle ball change are always with me.

5 snacks I enjoy: Gala apples cut in an apple slicer, almonds, peanut butter m&ms, plain cheerios with sugar, string cheese and Ritz

5 things I would do if I had $100 million dollars: Buy a house, set up college funds for our baby and babies to come, take my whole family and Brett's family to the Four Seasons Resort wailea on Maui bayne style during Easter break to see all the celebs that show up then ( Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pamela Anderson, David hasselhoff, kid rock, Oscar de la hoya, Rod Stewart and the guy from entertainment tonight with the bad toupee), Go back to Argentina for a month or two, Donate a good chunk to research for pediatric cancers
5 places I would love to run away to: Australia, Greece, Disneyland, NYC, London

5 TV shows I like: Jeopardy, Grey's, The Singing Bee, Project Runway (yippee new season) and a little Oprah

5 things I hate doing:Finding clothes that fit me now, I don't like tight or even a little snug on my tummy, taking out my neighbors stinky trash because they leave it there FOREVER, unloading the dishwasher (Brett says I load it wrong anyway)Being really late for anything, although I'm always late no matter how hard I try. And last of all depositing checks at wells Fargo, they try to make me open every kind of account possible there savings, money market, credit card and they have lost two of my checks. My account with them closes november 31st whahoooo!

5 biggest joys of the moment: Feeling my baby kick(he's got a foot), Seeing the bosty and getting little loves from her, she likes to point at my tummy and say bebe, getting to spend time with Brett on friday night's its our one night off together, looking at all the fun toys, strollers, bedding, and just about everything else associated with a new baby on the way!

I think I am the last of my blogging friends to answer the tag --how sad I need to make some more friends

Almost Halloween

After reading all the fun blogs with fall or Halloween activities I have come to the conclusion that I need to step up my Halloween festivities and do a little more. I am planning to carve pumpkins at my parents house and go around to all the great decorated homes in their neighborhood, no worries I know I am too old to go trick or treating. As for a Halloween costume, I am at a loss. I have a great Pocahontas get up put I don't think it will fit plus I got my hair cut last week and I don't know why the words 1 inch off the ends and clean up the layers have to mean whack off close to 3 inches and turn my hair into some odd looking mullet-Rachel due. Not going to work when trying to pull off an Indian. I have to mention I am getting gray hairs not just one or two but I counted six, yes six gray hairs. I am tempted to dye them away but my last dye job left my hair so black Dad was worried I was Gothic and Mom gives me a big guilt trip about dying my hair. Back to Halloween I want to make a special soup for tomorrow night and I know that All of you out in blogger land have some great recipes so if you could send them my way that would be great!

Today Brett and I went to the Center for Maternal and Fetal Medicine on Pinto lane to find out if a little girl or boy is on its way. The office was extremely nice, brand new and very clean. They took us back to the ultrasound room and a nice lady named Paula came in to start the ultrasound. As soon as she put the gel on my tummy I started to cry, both brett and I have gotten used to this, I cry at the drop of anything these days. Paula the nice tech lady, went through all the parts of our little one, the brain, the heart, legs ,arms and the big news that we are having a little BOY! Dr. Iryie came in to take a few more pictures, and told us the spine, heart, umblicial cord and placenta are all perfect. We are both soo excited! Thank you for all the phone calls and kind words for us and the new little BOY on its way!
ps this is a profile shot of the little man( head nose lips etc )
and for the record NO his name is not DAVID or Alien baby, I don't want him to have a complex

Technical difficulties

I am experiencing technical difficulties-- I log on to my blog and the only post that shows up the first one. Any suggestions? If I go searching for my recent post I can eventually find them but its an adventure.
So I know I am way far behind the whole whoopla of Transformers but holy cow what a great movie!!! Brett and I went on friday night and the theater was pretty full. Didn't this movie come out months ago? Shia Labuff( spelling?) was fabulous and the transformers were amazing, that jon voight guy was pretty great too--I thought of Taylor and I trying to put together optimus prime or maybe it was bumble bee a few years ago after christmas--truely more than meets the eye with those toys. Alright I'm off for more tests-my blodd sugar was borderline high and as we speak I am in the middle of my three hour glucose test, not so fun. Wish me luck love to all and a BIG ol happy Birthday to Katie hope you had a fabulous day see you soon!!!
ps Emmy was in town this weekend, it was so great to see her, all grown up going to college. OH spanky

4 months and feeling fine or should I say occasionally better

Well I have to say that I was honestly counting down the days of my first trimester with great anticipation for my second to start and all this unpleasantness to go away. And I am happy to say I feel alot better. At my last visit my doctor gave me an offical due date---March 18,2008 and we finally heard the heart beat. My friends that have children kept asking if the bay's heart beat was fast or slow and I hadn't ever heard it before last week--by the way its slow, which some will say that means its a boy but the whole heart fast or slow is a myth.
Brett and I went to Lake Tahoe last weekend for my friend Nicks wedding. It was lovely right on the beach and a very fancy reception at the hotel bitmore. I was told the this hotel has a ton of hollywood history and that marilyn monroe and frank sinatra loved to say there. The hotel was just purchased by a asian gaming company and they plan to remodel the entire thing. I'm just hoping it doesn't turn into the swan or the dolphin(BR SMELL yucky)

Joey Fatone has found his new calling life

Last night I was watching a little tv and I got out of my normal three channnel surfing to watch the news on channel three and then a fabulous show called the Singing Bee with joey from N'sync, he was my favorite back in the day and I had high hopes for him on dancing with the stars. The show consist of a audience full of contestants, a live band, about sx different singers and a theme for the night. Joey goes around in the audience picking out the contestants and then they compete to finish the songs played by the band. Last night's theme was Girl Power---with songs having to do with women, or by women. I am proud to say that minus the donna summers song---I'm to young to even know who she is, I could finish all the songs. A little tina turner, indigo girls, blondie and mary poppins. I was throughly entertained and I think everyone would agree that it is some good TV. Tuesday night at 8 channel 3 NBC join the fun--its dance pary approved.
Brett and I went to the cabin this past labor day weekend and had a lovely time here are a few pics. There is also a picture of clarence our build a bear turtle that katie and the girls got for our new little one love ya all

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
